Eski Anadolu Türkçesinin gelişim seyri içinde XIII. yüzyıl şair ve yazarlarının önemli bir yeri vardır. Bir taraftan İran kaynaklı şiirlerin etkisiyle Divan edebiyatının başladığı, diğer yandan Ortaasya'dan itibaren uygulana gelen Halk şiiri özelliklerinin etkisini sürdürdüğü bu geçiş sürecinde, Selçuklu sarayında edebiyat dilinin Farsça olarak uygulanması Türkçe yazılmış eserlerin değerini bir kez daha arttırmaktadır. Ahmed Fakih, XIII. yüzyıl Türk şiirinin önemli şairlerinden olup Kitâbu Evsâfı Mesâcidi'ş-Şerife adlı eseri hem dilin hem de edebiyatın gelişimi açısından Türk bilim dünyasınca önemli kabul edilir. Ahmed Fakih'e ait olduğunu evvelce tespit edip bu araştırmaya konu edindiğimiz şiirler de bu bakımdan önemli görülebilir.

The 13th Century authors and poets have an important role in the development of the Old Anatolian Turkish. In this transition period -during which the period of Divan Literature started under the influence of the poems that originated from Persia on the one hand and the influence of the folk poetry which was being applied since Middle Asian on the other- the usage of Persian as the language of the Seljukian Palace once more increased the value of the works of art written in Turkish. Kitâbu Evsâfı Mesâcidi'ş-Şerîfe written by Ahmed Fakih, one of the important poets of the 13th Century, is valued as important by the critics of the Turkish scientific world, regarding the development of both language and literature. In the line with this reason, the poems which belong to Ahmed Fakih can be seen as important works.
