SERVİKAL YÜKSEK DERECELİ SKUAMOZ İNTRAEPİTELYAL LEZYON İÇİN DE⁄ERLENDİRME SIRASINDA İNSİDENTAL OLARAK SAPTANAN İLERİ EVRE UTERİN LEİOMYOSARKOM: OLGU SUNUMU

Uterin leiomyosarkom (LMS), kadın genital yol maligniteleri arasında nadir olarak saptanan ve endometrium kanserine göre daha agresif seyirli tümörlerdir. Diğer kanserlerde olduğu gibi, erken tanı prognoza olumlu katkı sağlar. Hastalarda genellikle postmenopozal vajinal kanama veya karın ağrısı gibi semptomlar bulunmakla beraber, tamamen asemptomatik olgularla da karşılaşılabilir. Bu yazıda, servikste yüksek dereceli skuamoz intraepitelyal lezyon (HSIL) nedeniyle refere edilen, ayrıntılı inceleme neticesinde ileri evre LMS saptanan bir olgu sunulmaktadı

Uterin leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is a rare female genital tract malignancy with an aggressive clinical course with respect to endometrial cancer. Early diagnosis is associated with a more favorable prognosis. Although patients generally present with symptoms such as postmenopausal bleeding and pelvic pain, entirely asymptomatic cases may also be encountered. In this paper, a case that was initially referred for high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion of the cervix, consequently diagnosed with advanced stage LMS after detailed examination is reported
