Benign mezotelyoma (Olgu sunumu)

Yetmişyedi yaşındaki bayan hasta, beş yıldır devam eden sol yan ağrısı, öksürük, nefes darlığı yakınmaları ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Yapılan toraks bilgisayarlı tomografik incelemesinde sol hemitoraksın sol üst lob apikoposterior segmenti dışındaki tüm bölgelerinin kaplayan ve diyafragma altında dalağı sol böbrek düzeyine kadar iten 18x20x10 cm büyüklüğünde dev kitle lezyonu görüldü. Yapılan transtorakal doku biyopsisi ile lokalize fibröz tümör "benign mezotelyoma" tanısı konan hastaya operasyon kararı bildirildi. Plevranın bir tümörü olan benign mezotelyoma nadir görülmesi ve literatürde bildirilen dev benign mezotelyoma vakalarından biri olması nedenleriyle sunulmaktadır.

Benign mesathelioma (Case report)

77 year-old female patient was admitted to our clinic with complains of left side pain, cough and dyspnea that longs for five years. In the thorax computerized tomographic investigation, an 18x20x10 cm size giant mass lesion that covers all regions of left hemitorax except left upper lobe apicoposterior segment and below diaphragm, pushes the spleen to the kidney level has been seen. Operation decision has been affirmed to the patient to which localized fibrous tumour "benign mesothelioma" was diagnosed by performed transthoracal tissue biopsy. Benign mesothelioma, being a tumour of pleura, is presented due to its rare occurrence and its being as one of the giant benign mesothelioma cases presented in the literature.
