Babadıllimanı koyun'ndaki (Silifke-İçel) izmarit balıklarının (Spicara smaris (L.,1758) büyüme ve üreme özellikleri

Bu çalışmada, Babadıllimanı Koyu'ndaki izmarit balığının (Spicara smarts) yaş, büyüme ve üreme özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla, Mayıs 1999-Nisan 2000 tarihleri arasında aylık olarak örneklenen 326 adet birey incelenmiştir, incelenen balık boylarının 4.90-14.90 cm; ağırlıklarının 1.39-28.58 gr ve yaşlarının ise 0 ila III. yaşlar arasında değiştiği; bunların %46.6'sının dişi; %50'sinin erkek ve %3.4'ünün ise, juvenil bireylerden oluştuğu saptanmıştır. Büyüme özelliklerinden Boy-Ağırlık ilişkisi hesaplanarak, von Bertalanffy'nin boyca ve ağırlıkça büyüme sabitlerinden $L_infty$ = 16.54 cm, K= 0.34 $yıl^{-1}$, to= -0.1.26 yıl ve $W_infty$ = 37.40 gr, olduğu; Ortalama Gonadosomatik indeks (GSI) ve Kondisyon Faktörü (K) değerlerinin aylık değişiminden, bu balıkların Mart-Nisan döneminde yumurtladıkları saptanmıştır.

Growth and reproduction peculiarities of the picarel (Spicara smaris (L.,1758) from the Babadıllimanı bight (Silifke-İçel)

This present study was performed for the identification of age, growth, reproductive peculiaities of the picarel (Spicara smarts) from the Babadıllimanı Bight (Silifke-İçel). For this purpose, 326 individuals were obtained by monthly sampling during the period of May 1999 to April 2000. The length ranged from 4.90 to 14.90 cm; and weight varied between of 1.39 and 28.58 gr; while age composition changed from 0 to III. th age group. The examined individuals composed of %46.6 female, %50 male and %3.4 juvenile. Among the growth peculiarities length-weight relationship were estimated, von Bertalanffy's growth constants in length and weight were also estimated as $L_infty$ = 16.54 cm, K= 0.34 $year^{-1}$, to= -1.26 year and $W_infty$= 37.40 gr. By using the monthly changes in the gonadosomatic index (GSI) and condition factor (K), it was found that their spawning takes place during March-April.
