Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a rare disease in childhood. A three-year-old boy with difficulty in walking, hypotonia and hypo-areflexia was diagnosed as CIDP with electromyography and sura/ nerve biopsy studies. Marked clinical improvement were obtained with oral prednisolone therapy in spite of persistance of severe electrophysiological involvement of peripheral nerves.
