Implant Migration After Surgery of Traumatic Dislocation of Sternoclavicular Joint
Sternoclavicular
injuries are rare but associated with serious short and long-term
complications. Lethal complications have been reported after dislocations of
the sternoclavicular joint. For this reason, it is important to set an early
diagnosis in terms of treatment success. There are various conservative and surgical
techniques in treatment. Transarticular wire has now been abandoned, as
thoracic migration of K wire applied to an open or closed surgeon is observed
in some cases. In this case, we present a case in which the K wire used for fixation
migrates to the opposite side of the armpit after sternoclavicular joint dislocation
surgery.
