Akkaraman (Akk), Corriedale (Cor) x Akk, Hampshire Down (HD) x Akk, Dorset Down (DD) x Akk (Fi) kuzuların besi ve karkas özelliklerini araştırmak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada; besi özellikleri için 18 baş Akkaraman, 16 baş Cor x Akk, 12 baş HD x Akk ve 18 baş DD x Akk ; karkas özellikleri için ise her genotipten 5 er baş erkek kuzu kullanılmıştır. Beside kuzulara ad-libitum kesif yem ve saman verilmiştir. İstatistik analizler Harvey'in paket programı ile gruplar arası farklılıklar da Duncan testi ile tespit edilmiştir. The fattening and carcass characteristics of Akkaraman, Corriedale x Akkaraman, Hampshire down x Akkaraman, dorset down x Akkaramn (F1) LAMBS
This study was carried out to investigate the fattening and carcass characteristics of Akkaraman (Akk) and the crosses of Corriedale (Cor) x Akk, Hampshire Down (HD) x Akk, Dorset Down (DD) x Akk (Fi) Lambs. In the study 18 Akk, 16 Cor x Akk, 12 HD x Akk and 18 DD x Akk lambs were fed used for fattening traits and 5 male of each genotype for carcass traits. Lambs were ad libitum consantrates and straw. All carcasses were divided into five cuts named leg, shoulder, back, loin and others. To obtain knowledge about carcass composition wasdissec-ted all carcasses parts. Data were examined by using the Least Squares metod; and Duncan test was used to compare the genotype gro- ups. For Akk, Cor x Akk, HD x Akk and DD x Akk lambs daily gains, from the beginning at approximately 23.0 kg of live weight to finishing at 40.0 kg, were 148, 191, 125 and 159 g for male, 134, 116, 111 and 109 g for female respectively, slaughter weights were 40.76, 41.09, 39.66 and 41.24 kg, According to non-tailed carcass, cold carcass weights were 19.11, 18.85, 18.83 and 19.43 kg, dressing percentages were 46.97, 46.30, 46.31 and 47.70 % ; the ratios of leg weights in the carcass were 29.64, 32.80, 32.77 and 32.71 % (P
