Gastrointestinal stromal tümör (GİST) kaynaklı jejunojejunal invajinasyon: olgu sunumu

İnvajinasyon, gastrointestinal kanalın birbirini takip eden iki segmentinin iç içe geçmesi olarak tanımlanır. Pediatrik yaş grubunda akut apandisit tablosundan sonra en sık rastlanan ikinci akut karın ağrısı nedeni olmasına rağmen, yetişkinlerde nadir görülmektedir. Yetişkinlerde invajinasyon bulguları diğer intestinal obstrüksiyon bulguları ile karışabilir. Bu nedenle, yetişkinlerde çocukların aksine tanı koymak güçtür ve sıklıkla operasyon sırasında tanı kesinleştirilebilir. Erişkinlerde gözlenen intestinal invajinasyonların nadir olması, bu konuda bilgi birikiminin ve tedavi algoritmalarının gelişmesini sınırlamaktadır. Bu makalede ince barsak obstrüksiyonu nedeniyle ameliyat ettiğimiz gastrointestinal stromal tümöre bağlı gelişmiş olan jejunojejunal invajinasyon olgusu sunulmaktadır.

Jejunojejunal invagination due to gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST): a case report

Invagination is defined as the meshing of two ensuing segments of gastrointestinal tract. Although invagination is the second most common cause of acute abdominal pain after acute appendicitis in pediatric age group, it is rare in adults. In adults, symptoms of invagination can be confused with other causes of intestinal obstruction. Diagnosis is difficult and generally becomes definitive during the operation. Since intestinal invaginations are rare, treatment algorithms and background information are limited. In this article, jejunojejunal invagination case developed due to gastrointestinal stromal tumor that caused small bowel obstruction is reported.
